What we know from Lp(a)HORIZON and what remains unknown
The Lp(a)HORIZON trial is a landmark study whose negative primary endpoint result must be interpreted with the precision the underlying science demands. The causal role of Lp(a), the ability to lower Lp(a) pharmacologically, and the clinical benefit of that reduction are distinct propositions, and only the third is directly tested by this trial.
