Rockville's Annual Gun Buyback is TODAY! Since 2022, Rockville's Gun Buyback Program has collected more than 1,000 firearms, including a record 303 last year alone!

Every year, we collect numerous untraceable ghost guns, and @RockvilleCityPD has already received multiple ghost guns this morning! This is especially concerning given that a ghost gun was used in the tragic shooting at Wootton High School this past February.

Public safety remains one of my top priorities, and I'm proud of our continued efforts to get unwanted firearms off our streets.

* Today, November 7, 9 AM – 1 PM

Thank you to our Rockville City Police Department and @MCSAONEWS for this important public safety partnership!

Friday night lights at QO! Festive atmosphere tonight as Richard Montgomery @RocketsSportsRM takes on Quince Orchard @QO_FOOTBALL in the MCPS football playoffs! Plenty of friendly Rockville vs. Gaithersburg rivalry talk, with elected officials from both cities cheering from opposite sides of the stands!

RM is ready to shock the County! Let's go, Rockets!

A huge night for democracy! Thrilled to celebrate with Congressman @jamie_raskin and my good friend U.S. Olympian Davey Hearn as the news broke that Democrats had taken back control of the U.S. House of Representatives! An exciting night, a tremendous victory, and a reminder of the power of every vote.

Congratulations to all the candidates, volunteers, and voters who made it happen!

Thrilled to have Congressman @jamie_raskin together with @JoeVogel_ and @Monique4RKV join us this afternoon at Wootton High School to support our community including the Wootton Acatonics and their Election Day bake sale!

And a truly special a treat when they serenaded us with a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem! Thank you to all student groups hosting bake sales and treat sales this election day!
