“The majority of Democrats did not run on Medicare for All. You think Adam Hamilton got elected in KS by saying he wants to kick everyone off their private insurance?”

NBC News: Sen.-elect Adam Hamilton says he’d be disappointed if Democrats focus on investigating Trump

Hamilton: “The bigger priority for me, and I think for most people in America, especially people living paycheck to paycheck.”

“If I spent the next two years — my first two years in the Senate — in investigations, I’d be deeply disappointed. I want to get to work helping the people in my state and helping the people across the country,” Hamilton said.

James Talarico traces 50 years of trickle-down back to one 1971 document, the Powell memo, a corporate blueprint to buy power

“In fact, you can, you can pinpoint this one document called the Powell memo, 1971.”

“But if you read this memo, it's basically a blueprint for how corporate interests can start to dismantle the Great Society and the New Deal”

“They're going to spend massive amounts of money in our politics, buying politicians in both parties, elevate corporate voices in media, appoint sympathetic judges.”

“And that has really been the story of the last 50 years in this country, last five decades.”
