Do ambient AI scribes save emergency physicians time? Across 275 attending physicians in 20 Mayo Clinic EDs, notes written with an ambient AI scribe took 19% less active time (2.4 minutes per note) than the same physicians' own unassisted notes. Physicians started the note later, reviewing an AI draft instead of writing from memory, and notes were 14% longer, with no delay in completion and no rise in 72-hour ED returns. doi.org/10.1016/j.anne…
