🏈 YOUR SEASON IS OVER… BUT YOUR RECRUITING IS JUST GETTING STARTED! 📈

The offseason is where recruiting momentum is built.

The biggest mistake you can make right now? Sitting around waiting for college coaches to find you.

If you're serious about playing football at the next level, it's time to get to work.

✅ GET YOUR FILM IN ORDER — Your best 3–5 plays should immediately show coaches why you can play at the next level.

✅ UPDATE YOUR TWITTER/X PROFILE — Make sure your information is accurate, your height/weight is verified if possible, and your latest film is pinned.

✅ BUILD YOUR SCHOOL LIST — Target programs that fit your athletic ability, academics, and recruiting situation.

✅ TAKE ACTION — Complete questionnaires, contact coaches, and follow up consistently.

Remember, recruiting is a PROCESS. Don't wait for opportunities. Create them.

YOUR FIRST 5 PLAYS CAN MAKE OR BREAK YOUR RECRUITMENT.

College football coaches aren't going to sit through your entire highlight film waiting to see if you can play.

You need to grab their attention IMMEDIATELY.

Your first 5 plays should showcase the traits that prove you have what it takes to compete at the next level.

✅ Lead with your BEST plays, not necessarily your biggest plays.

✅ Showcase your athleticism, physicality, and position-specific traits.

✅ Give coaches a reason to KEEP WATCHING.

If you don't catch their attention early, you risk having your film turned off before they ever see your true potential.

You might be a college-level football player… but what if a coach never watches your highlight long enough to see your best?

🏈 College coaches evaluate hundreds of prospects. Your highlight film needs to grab their attention FAST.

After 10+ years working in college football recruiting at Cincinnati and Purdue, I've seen firsthand how film can help—or hurt—an athlete's recruiting opportunities. I've sat with numerous coaches that would shut off a tape before it really got rolling. Their time is valuable, and if you waste it, you might lose your chance to be evaluated.

📲 Swipe through these 4 mistakes that could be causing coaches to stop watching your film.

💬 ATHLETES: What's the FIRST play on your highlight tape? Drop it in the comments.

📌 SAVE this before making your next highlight film.

📤 SHARE this with a teammate who's trying to play college football.
