Had dinner with an SDSU basketball player last night through @AztecsGoingPro.
Pretty cool program connecting student athletes with alumni to talk about life after ball.
We got talking about entrepreneurship.
My leadership coach used to tell me all the time:
"Chase, you need to hire more athletes."
Looking back, I wish I'd listened more.
Athletes know how to compete. Take coaching. Lose. Get back up. Play for something bigger than themselves.
And now with NIL, these kids are getting a crash course in entrepreneurship before they even graduate.
Building personal brands. Negotiating deals. Learning how to market themselves.
I bet we see a massive wave of student athletes becoming entrepreneurs over the next 5–10yrs.
Entrepreneurship needs more dogs. REAL dogs.
Hire more athletes.View quoted post on X
