Only 8.8% of high school baseball players go on to play NCAA baseball.

Here's how to give yourself a better chance of being one of them:

Lift weights 3–4x per week
Sprint 2–3x per week
Fuel your body with quality food
In bed by 10pm, up at 6am
Limit unnecessary screen time
Get outside and soak up morning sunlight
Spend time barefoot outdoors
Follow a structured throwing program
Stay consistent year-round

Most athletes want to play at the next level. Fewer are willing to build the habits that give them a chance.

Athlete: "Coach, I want to play college baseball."

Coach: "Awesome! What's your plan this offseason?"

Athlete: "Basketball season is starting, so I'll have to focus on that. But once that's done, I'll lock in for baseball."

Coach: "So you're not gonna be throwing until February?"

Athlete: "Yeah that's plenty of time, right?"

Coach: "🤦 "

And then wonders why his arm isn't ready for the season...

The problem isn't just basketball, it's the lack of
PREPARATION.

Waiting until February to start throwing leaves
very little time to prepare when your season
starts in March.

Your arm needs time to gradually build up
throwing volume and intensity to prepare for:

⚾ Bullpens

⚾ Live at-bats

⚾ Games

You can't rush preparation. Have a PLAN.

BASEBALL PLAYERS & PARENTS‼️

A 2025 study of 112 pitchers at the MLB Combine found:

75% had evidence of a SLAP tear
95% had rotator cuff abnormalities
80%+ had UCL abnormalities

Yet 95% of all 112 players studied reported no current pain or limitations.

So what's the takeaway?

An MRI showing a tear DOES NOT automatically mean you need surgery.

MRI findings are important, but they don't always explain an athlete's symptoms.

If you're dealing with shoulder or elbow pain, get evaluated by a qualified sports PT or sports medicine professional. Imaging and surgery may be necessary in some cases, but they aren't always the first step.

Treat the ATHLETE, not just the MRI.

High School Baseball Players‼️

You WANT to throw 90mph.

You WANT to hit the ball 100mph.

You WANT to play college baseball.

But are your daily habits actually matching those goals?

You can have the best training program in the world.

But if you're consistently underfueling your body, you're limiting your potential.

If you're an undersized athlete trying to build muscle, eating enough NEEDS to be a priority.

Stop treating nutrition like an afterthought.

Your development doesn't stop when you leave the gym.

High School Athletes‼️

Your program doesn't matter if you can't follow it consistently...

Stop program hopping to find the “perfect” program.

You won’t find it.

We don’t even have a perfect program.

We have a GREAT program.

But even a great program won’t produce great results without consistency.

Train hard.
Stack good days.

Consistency for weeks, months, and years > perfection.
