Katie Beth Hand was diagnosed with T1D at age 26 and spent years struggling with severe hypoglycemia. In January 2026, she enrolled in a Breakthrough T1D-funded clinical trial studying Eledon’s tegoprubart at the University of Chicago.

Today, she is insulin-free.
