Everybody loves the release or breaking a run feels like you're gone… then the safety shows up at the 10 and hawks you down like you're running in mud.
Acceleration gets you open. Top end speed gets you in the end zone. @DexPreps 😂

Most young sprinters hit their top speed early, then spend over half the race slowing down. As they mature, they hold top speed longer and the fade shrinks.
But growth alone doesn't fix the shape of the sprint. Without proper training, the fade stays big, bad habits groove in.

STOP THE LEAKS!!
In a 6-week study, isometric training raised tendon stiffness 61.6%, vs 29.4% for plyometrics. Same jump and force gains, much lower impact. During a 12-week study of holds at 70% max effort also cut the delay between signal and force by about 18%.

Arm swing doesn’t directly power speed as much as it counterbalances the legs and keeps the torso aligned so the legs can apply force cleanly and reduce waisted motion. clean transfers through the core is what keeps posture tall and generates true speed!
