🤩 Not one, but TWO coyotes have now been spotted using the Annenberg Wildlife Crossing over the 101 freeway.

And that’s BEFORE it’s even completed. December can’t come soon enough!

Coyotes can't stop, won't stop using the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing! Another one was spotted on it -- this time on the structure over the 101 Freeway.

Biologists don't think it made it all the way across, though that's now possible. latimes.com/environment/st…

BIG water news: After decades of planning, Sites Reservoir secured its final water right permit, driven by @CAgovernor Newsom and other state leaders who made the project a priority. The approval puts California on track to build its largest new reservoir in more than 50 years — helping modernize California’s water infrastructure and strengthen water reliability for generations to come.

“All regulatory approvals have now been provided and California is on the verge of breaking ground on this critical investment for our communities, economy, and environment,” said California Secretary for Natural Resources @WadeCrowfoot. “This is how we secure our water future in a shifting climate.”

NEW: The @CaWaterBoards just approved the first major update to California’s Bay-Delta Plan since 1995. The new approach to water management incorporates the Governor’s Healthy Rivers and Landscapes program to help protect rivers that supply water to millions of Californians and sustain farms, salmon, and other wildlife.

The updated plan pairs river flows with large-scale habitat restoration and enforceable safeguards to improve the health of the Sacramento River and Delta while helping communities and farms prepare for a hotter, drier future.

“Accelerating climate change demands a new approach to balance California’s diverse water needs, and that’s what the State Water Board has delivered,” said California Secretary for Natural Resources @WadeCrowfoot.

What happens when the climate impacts we expected in 2050 are already happening today? 🎙️

On the latest episode of From the Source, Secretary Wade Crowfoot sits down with @AirResources Chair Lauren Sanchez for a candid conversation about the urgency of climate change, why protecting our environment and growing our economy go hand in hand, and the future of clean transportation.

They also explore why communities most impacted by pollution need a seat at the decision-making table - and the next generation that makes this work so personal.

These clips are just a glimpse of the conversation.
