The 2024 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials had 165 entries (149 starters on race day in Orlando) on the women’s side. As of today, we are up to 168‼️ qualifiers on the women’s side and that’s BEFORE the half marathon qualifying window opens and we’re expecting a BIG wave more coming at the California International Marathon.

The standard dropped to 2:37 for 2024, held steady for 2028 and so many women have risen to the occasion. So awesome. 👏

🗣️ “That’s what I want for myself. And seeing her do it made me feel like it’s possible.” 🇺🇸

When Zouhair Talbi found out at the NYC Marathon finish line that Jess McClain had placed second, he was proud of her and then started thinking about what it would take to get on that podium himself.

McClain jumped on our podcast before the race and said that she wanted a podium finish. Then she backed it up, taking the tighter line around the final turn and outkicking defending champion Hellen Obiri for second place. Talbi admired how she raced and how willing she’d been to say what she was going for in the first place.

Now he’s working toward finding the confidence to put that goal out there, too.

🎧 Hear Talbi reflect on that finish line moment and what he’s chasing next on the CITIUS MAG Podcast.

2026 NEW YORK CITY MARATHON WITH TEAM @citiusmag 🗽❤️

This was hands down the most fun I’ve ever had running a marathon. Feeling incredibly lucky that I get to do what I love and share experiences like this with such an amazing group of friends.

There are so many memories from this one.

The goal was 3:30, and although things got tough toward the end, we got it done!

I’ve spent so much time telling stories about this race and what makes it special. Yesterday, I got to be a small part of that story with some of my favorite people.
