I am blessed to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic journey at Amherst College!

First, I would like to thank God for guiding me and blessing me with this opportunity. Without Him, I am nothing.

I would like to thank my family for their unwavering love and support throughout this process. Without them, none of this would be possible.

Thank you to Coach Davis, Coach Conaire, Coach Bonner, and the entire St. Thomas Football program for their support and belief in me throughout my high school career.

Lastly, thank you to Coach Mills and Coach Thompson for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I am incredibly grateful!

Kenny Dillingham delivers a raw message on excellence and what average really looks like.

"It was a really, really bad day on offense. And it all stems from the passion we play with."

"Is it okay to not make a play? And if you accept it, then you accept it and that's who you're gonna be."

Then he laid out the truth:
"Don't be mad going 5-7. It's okay. Don't be mad going 6-6. Don't be mad going 3-9. 'Cause somebody has to go those records. There's gonna be tons of teams who do it. Why not us?"

If you accept average, you'll become average.

"We didn't practice bad - we didn't practice with passion."

"The best teams - it matters all the time. You wanna win everything. And today we didn't have that mindset."

They look to compete every single day. They win because they have a winning mindset.

"We didn't wanna win. We wanted to practice. And those are 2 different mindsets to me."

Then he dropped the line:
"It was a good practice for a bad team. It was an average practice for an average team. That's what today was."

This is what the mindset of excellence looks like:
"We didn't practice with passion." → Good isn't good enough.
"It matters all the time." → Standards never take a day off.
"It was a good practice for a bad team." → Champions demand more.

Got the opportunity to speak to the team I grew up playing for about my football journey and why I ultimately chose St. Thomas. Grateful for the chance to give back to the program that helped shape me and inspire the next generation.
