One of the most impactful men in my life. Coach Newsome did more for me than I could ever repay. He's the reason I coach. A true competitor who was tough and demanding, but fiercely loyal to his players. I'm forever grateful. Rest In Peace Coach.
We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Coach Curt Newsome.
A respected leader at Virginia Tech, James Madison, Emory & Henry & across Virginia high school football, Coach Newsome devoted his life to mentoring student-athletes & building championship programs.
We join his family, friends, former players & colleagues in remembering his life, legacy & impact.View quoted post on X
