Marshall walked into Cajun Field and defeated Louisiana 31-3, capturing the program’s first-ever Sun Belt Conference Championship. After Louisiana’s first-quarter field goal, the defense held the Cajuns scoreless the rest of the afternoon, turning a championship game into a statement.
For seniors like @Mikegreen42021 , @loganosburn4 , @LockdownJ_ , and @epayne414 , it was the perfect way to finish their Marshall careers—as conference champions.
For returning leaders like @tpayner05 , @jalenslappy , and @TJBM12 , it became the standard they’ll continue to carry forward in Huntington.
