Seth Godin has the best theory I’ve heard on why we waste so much of our lives trying to impress others:

You don't need to worry about which direction you're going to start.
You just need to start... move fast, and keep asking yourself if your life is what you want it to be.

The older I get the more I realize that most advice on why you can’t is just people defending why they’ve failed.
I regret to inform you that being married, waking up early, going to church, reading books, drinking less, staying home more, and being in bed by 10pm is actually amazing.
