Colby Giacubeno

Dominant performance for Butler commit Lonnie Lyons last night in a win over Massanutten. 25PTS & 9ASTS while showing his two-way impact.

Biggest takeaway for me was the Lyons/Morton high PnR actions. Morton's ability to roll hard & be a paint presence is going to be tough for opponents to contain given Lyons' three-level scoring, ability to keep his defender in jail as he dissects the defense + being able to deliver passes off the live bounce to anyone on the floor.

30PTS & 15REBS for 2028 @MtZionPrep Mikey Matthews in a 2OT win over Bella Vista.

Remains criminally under appreciated from a national perspective…

Not locally, though 😉

Spoke about what the addition of Carpenter means in the now, the years to come & the type of prospects St. Bonaventure seem to be prioritizing ⬇️

2027 St. James (VA) & @teamdurant_AAU Isaiah Carpenter has committed to St. Bonaventure, I’m told. The 6’5” senior has shown impressive improvement over the last year as a two-way guard/wing who brings positional versatility, traits as a connector & plenty of upside left to tap into.

Another great addition for the Bonnies as Carpenter joins Victor Aborowa in the 2027 recruiting class, showing the approach from the staff to find under the radar talent who boast HM ceilings as prospects in the next 2-3 years.

More preview of the @bclbasketball, this time focusing on the potential breakout candidates & freshmen to watch 👀
