Covering the #Seahawks has been a lifelong dream, and I'm not letting that dream die without a fight.

But I have to get myself right before I can take on that fight.

Why I'm stepping away from the beat I love covering indefinitely:

www.emeraldcityspectrum.com I Can't Afford to Cover the Seahawks Right Now, So It's Time to Step Away Covering the Seahawks for the past nine-plus years has truly been a dream, and I plan to fight for that dream. But first, I have to get myself back on track to take on that fight.

To all of you who reached out with messages, I’m trying to get back to all of you.

The outpouring of support has been incredibly overwhelming. And got the best of my emotions a few times. But I’m blessed so many of you cared enough to reach out and make sure I was okay.

Please support our fine writers at @EmeraldSpectrum. They’re going to kill it while I’m out, as they always do.

I’m staying off of here, but a colleague directed to me to this and I just want all of you to know: I understand your pain.

And I’m not upset at anyone for dropping a subscription when life is so damn expensive right now.

Just know that I emphasize with all of you. It sucks.

@CorbinSmithNFL Sorry to hear this mate.
Shits expensive for everyone at the moment.
Worldwide.
We’ve gone from what I earn being extra money to travel with to needing every single cent and it’s still not enough.
No drinking, going out or partying- just raising one child.
It’s crazy.
