South Korea is proposing to delay its 22% crypto gains tax from January 2027 to January 2029.

This would be the FOURTH postponement since the tax was originally scheduled for January 2022.

The government also wants to introduce a three-year loss carryforward, allowing investors to offset eligible losses against future gains.

The proposed tax applies to annual crypto gains exceeding 2.5 million won ($1,869). Both changes still require legislative approval.
