CFTC chair Michael Selig, 3 Nov: perps on single US stocks can now trade on registered exchanges, so traders aren't "forced to turn to offshore, and often unregulated, venues."

Crypto invented the perp. The US cleared one for bitcoin in May. Now equities get it too.

Monero closed 3 Nov at $629.86 on Kraken, its best close since 15 Jan. That week bitcoin fell 4.3% and XMR rose 3.8%.

It sits 11% above its 50-day average and has doubled since June. January's peak close: $711.53.
