After earning the distinction of being the top-ranked player in Wisconsin's Class of 2028, Timothy West Jr. took his talents to Florida for the 2025-26 season, joining SFA Academy. What was expected to be a breakout year was largely interrupted by injury, as a leg fracture sidelined him for approximately 75 percent of the season.

Despite the setback, West's reputation as one of the nation's premier young point guards remains intact. He competes on the adidas 3SSB circuit with KL Power 5 and currently holds Division I offers from Jacksonville State, Georgia Southern, and Queens University of Charlotte, which extended an offer following the live period. Healthy once again, West enters the next chapter with the same expectations that made him Wisconsin's top-ranked player and a prospect to watch in Florida's Class of 2028.

Game day tomorrow.

Valemont Post-Grad opens the season against NLB, the No. 1 team in the league. Not a bad way to start.

I founded Valemont as the official postgrad program of SFA, our national high school program, so kids from all over the world could have a place to compete, get better, and get seen. I couldn't have built it without Coach Brian Turner, who's been right there with me putting this together. To see it tip off tomorrow means a lot.

Two of our guys from SFA National are playing up with Valemont this season: Tim West Jr. (class of 2028) and Donovan Gaines (class of 2027). They're high school kids, not postgrads. They'll still be playing their national high school season with SFA in the SIAA and the Grind Session, and on top of that they're getting tested against older players here.

Both of them were named to the 2026–27 Florida Sun Basketball Conference Preseason All-State Second Team while still in high school. That's a blessing. Proud of both of them.

Today, our SFA Academy National Team takes the floor against Florida College. Competing against collegiate opposition is no small privilege. It is precisely the caliber of competition our young men deserve, and the kind of opportunity we believe should distinguish a serious basketball program.
