A proud mom moment, and a proud mentor moment, all in one.
My oldest son, Ganesh Nair , now a sophomore at @Stanford , has been a Research Fellow with our @ARGJonesboro for over four years, since he was a sophomore in high school at The Academies At Jonesboro High School . This past summer, after his first year at Stanford, he took on a project on CT-derived anatomical navigation for leadless pacing of the "atrial conduction system" and turned it into an abstract.
It was selected ( BLINDED JUDGEMENT) as one of the top three abstracts to be presented live at the 10th Annual Physiology of Pacing Symposium #PPS2026. Ganesh stood up in front of a room full of electrophysiologists, presented with poise and clarity, and won BEST Abstract at PPS 2026.
Watching him at that podium, I wasn't his attending or his PI. I was just his mom, trying not to cry in the audience. ❤️
And the best part was getting a little unplanned time together. Even a short visit with your college kid is a gift.
The meeting itself was a milestone too. Ten years of a community that truly shifted how we think about pacing: from bradycardia to a much broader range of physiologic therapies. I was honored to speak on the future of leadless pacing, and as always we left with more questions than answers, especially about optimizing conduction system pacing and the long-term care of these patients. Lots to learn, together.
A huge thank you to the PPS course directors, Drs. @gauravaupadhyay , @GDandamudiMD , @KennethEllenbo1 , @DrRoderickTung and @pugazhendh44472 , for ten years of building this community and for giving young investigators a real stage. Thank you also to the Arrhythmia Research Group and @StBernards Healthcare team, who have made Ganesh one of their own for four years.
Ganesh, I am so proud of you.
