Whatever a society consistently rewards will eventually become its culture. People naturally gravitate towards behaviours that are celebrated, tolerated and rewarded. If a society rewards excellence, discipline and integrity, those values will become part of its culture. But if it rewards corruption, mediocrity, dishonesty and criminality, those too will become deeply embedded in its social fabric. A society’s culture is ultimately a reflection of what it chooses to reward and what it chooses to tolerate.

Any society where bad behaviour carries no consequences will inevitably become a breeding ground for criminals. When people know they can break the rules without facing repercussions, lawlessness becomes the norm.

A major reason for this heat in Nigeria is the absence of trees in urban areas.

There's a course called "Urban and Regional Planning" but the Govt and the students themselves accepted they are irrelevant because they are not "science students."

What a country.
