Last spring I missed my daughter's varsity debut. She was a third-string goalie and a freak set of occurrences happened and she played while I was covering softball.
Not going to let that happen again.

Nothing with your job in sports is worth missing a moment like this with your kids or family. It took me far too long to realize that. The game will go on whether you’re there or not. Someone else can do your job that day. These are the moments you don’t get back.

Kudos to WJAR's @zachletson_, covering all three tennis championships on Saturday and all three field hockey matches Sunday. That's a lot more work than people realize and made WJAR the lone TV outlet to get highlights of all six championships.

Per source, the RIIL football state championship game will take place on Friday, November 20, at Bryant University’s Beirne Stadium.
All other Super Bowls will take place at Cranston Stadium.
