As a 16-year-old, Ryan Giggs was in awe of one of his fellow apprentices at #MUFC, the prodigiously talented Adrian Doherty.
Unlike Giggs, Adrian’s gifts extended to poetry as well as football.
Here's his poem Lost Soul, one of many featured in #foreveryoung #adriandoherty

Twenty-one years ago today former Manchester United youngster Adrian Doherty died at the age of 26. Thoughts with his family and friends. May you stay forever young. #RIPdoc
RIP to my little @manutd Irish team mate Aidy Doherty. Tragically died 21 yrs ago today. Only 26 😢 A special talent who played on the opposite flank to Giggsy. Many say as good as him, if not better.
‘May you stay forever young’ #RIPTheDoc #mufc
