From the UFC Octagon to the White House briefing room?

President Trump says he's offered longtime friend and UFC CEO Dana White the press secretary job, though it's unclear whether the president is serious about the offer or joking around.

But that's not all. Trump also wants White to bring a team of professional fighters along as assistants.

"We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left," Trump writes, naming several UFC stars in his Truth Social announcement.

There's no indication White is actually considering the position, but the two have a decades-long friendship that adds another layer to the unusual proposal.
