Their best bet for the next mainline entry of Zelda would to combine the two game styles of BOTW and OoT. Have the big open world sandbox to explore but also have really well handcrafted dungeons and progression.

BotW and TotK are masterful games and just what Zelda needed at the time. But I absolutely believe that the future should be (and will be) going back to the classic 3D linear Zelda format that everyone is experiencing again right now with Ocarina of Time Remake. It’s funny anyone tried to doubt this game. The source material is one of the best games ever made and the remake was a chance for a lot of the original devs to solidify their vision.
