Traders on Polymarket have priced 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼 𝟲 as the overwhelming favourite, partly because the game launches just days before the nomination cut-off for 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀.

The closest challengers are 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝗺 at 7% and 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 at 3%. Beyond GOTY, Polymarket puts GTA 6 at 70% for Best Game Direction, 55% for Best Narrative, and 53% for Best Audio Design.

The claim comes from content creator J0nathan, who says two sources with access to 𝗨𝗯𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁's backend systems confirmed the information. The first title, codenamed 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘀, is set in Ancient Rome and may tie into the new 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻'𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱 TV series. The second, codenamed 𝗣𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁, is a mobile game set in Jerusalem.

🏆 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝘂𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝘀 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘀

𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 is closing its Los Heretics academy side and will not field a team in the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗮 season. Co-owner Jorge 'Goorgo' Orejudo cited finances as the sole driver: "This comes down to budgets. Budgets are limited, and we decided this year not to invest in our academy team, so that we can take the budget and put it towards our main LEC team."

Staying in Tier 2 would have meant an 80% budget cut, Orejudo said. Los Heretics won EMEA Masters in 2022, took the LES Spring Playoffs title earlier this year, and reached the Summer 2025 final, where they narrowly lost an LEC Versus spot to 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽 Blue. Heretics follows 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, which shut down Vitality․Bee last month after seven years.

Bruce Nesmith, lead designer of 𝗦𝗸𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗺, told The Examined Game that 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮's Todd Howard has a consistent knack for stepping outside developer thinking and seeing what a typical player actually wants. "As a developer, I sit in an ivory tower," Nesmith said, explaining that deep familiarity with systems pushes designers toward complexity. Howard, he says, cuts through that: "Don't get in the way with your math and your complex decision here."

Nesmith recalls Howard pushing back directly when designs got too involved. "I would try to make things a little more complex, and he was more than willing to say 'No, no, that's not what the players are going to want.'"
