investigators on their seminal work NEJM Group on RCT of Mod AS with at risk factors to surveillance vs @Edwards_TAVR SAPIEN 3 #TAVR, presented at LBCT #TCT2026 @crfheart @TCTMD
Open label trial. ⬇️☠️or HF event at 2y (p=0.02). No diff in ☠️. Effect driven by HF event. Delayed conversion to AVR still has same KCCQ-12 benefit after initial decline. More vigilant screening and follow up are key to capture this group of pts esp those who are symptomatic, which was the predominant reason for enrollment in this trial.
