Tour equipment news from south of the border
Plenty of equipment action in Mexico this week. Ryan Gerard (2nd) put the @Titleist '27 Pro V1 into play and, mid-tournament, swapped his @ScottyCameron Phantom 3 for a '15 Newport 2 Timeless.
"You know, it felt pretty good on the greens, and missed a lot of six-footers yesterday not for lack of hitting good putts but just felt like my speed and my line just weren't matching up the way that it needed to," Gerard said. "Burned a lot of edges. Figured I'd give her a shake and it worked fairly well I'd say."
Michael Kim also transitioned into the new Titleist '27 golf ball lineup, opting for the Pro V1x.
Zach Bauchou (T9) is gaming the new @PingTour G450 LST (10.5° @ 9.9°) and currently sits 11th in SG: Off-the-Tee.
