Governor Cox

Today I signed an Executive Order establishing a higher bar for data center development in Utah.

Utahns deserve confidence that water resources, air quality, utility rates, wildlife, and quality of life will be protected. This framework helps ensure that data center development aligns with Utah’s long-term interests and reflects Utah values.

In Utah, environmental stewardship and economic opportunity go hand in hand.

HISTORY MADE!

In their first-ever playoff appearance, the @UtahRoyalsFC are advancing to the NWSL semifinals!

Congratulations, Royals! All of Utah is cheering you on.

Every day, the men and women of the Utah Department of Public Safety work to protect Utahns, prevent tragedies, and respond when our neighbors need help most.

For 75 years, DPS has served Utah with courage and dedication. To every DPS employee: Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the lives you protect, and the extraordinary work you do to keep Utah safe.

BREAKING: Utah is turning the page at the former US Magnesium site. @UtahFFSL has selected @MarianaMinerals as the new operator to modernize operations, help fund the cleanup of decades of contamination, and conserve water for the Great Salt Lake.

Homelessness is a complex challenge, and addressing it requires all of us working together.

This morning, I joined more than 350 service providers, first responders, elected officials, and partners at Utah’s Central Homelessness Summit to discuss how we can better help people move from crisis to stability.

We’ve made historic investments in shelter, housing, public safety, and treatment. Now, our focus is on results: recovery, stability, and lasting independence.

As our dear friend Pamela Atkinson taught us, we can never lose sight of the people behind the numbers.

Thank you to everyone working to make a difference in the lives of Utahns.
