Isiah Kiner-Falefa just did the Red Sox a HUGE favor.
Instead of forcing his way back immediately, IKF says he’s comfortable staying with Worcester until September 1, when rosters expand — specifically because guys like Anthony Seigler, Mickey Gasper and Andruw Monasterio “don’t deserve to come down or be DFA’d.”
That is veteran leadership.
No ego. No “I’m owed my spot.” Just:
“These guys earned it. I can wait.”
And considering IKF is hitting .277/.344/.361 with a 100 wRC+ himself, this isn’t some washed-up guy volunteering to sit in Pawtucket.
He’s solving a roster headache for the front office.
Refreshingly normal behavior from a baseball player.
