The Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) is a permanent, interagency law enforcement task force created by executive order to end the presence of criminal cartels, foreign gangs, and transnational criminal organizations throughout the United States, dismantle cross-border human smuggling and trafficking networks, end the scourge of human smuggling and trafficking, with a particular focus on such offenses involving children — across all 52 U.S. states and territories.

GEORGIA: Homeland Security Task Force Announces Cartel-Linked Drug Trafficking Cases

“Two cartel-linked drug traffickers who distributed large quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine received lengthy sentences and a third defendant now faces federal charges involving more than 100 kilograms of methamphetamine and firearms allegedly tied to a transnational criminal organization,” said U.S. Attorney Will Keyes of @USAO_MDGA. “These Homeland Security Task Force cases highlight the devastating impact of cartel-linked drug trafficking and the determination of our law enforcement partners to remove dangerous offenders from our communities.”

HSTF CASE: A Massachusetts man was charged earlier this week with distributing synthetic opioids that resulted in a second death.

According to the charging documents, Jaden Zion Andre, 23, operated a Telegram channel called “MontanaSnacksLLC” and a Proton Mail account called “SnackSeason,” which he used to communicate with his drug customers. As part of his operation, Andre allegedly concealed his synthetic opioids in snack bags, which he then distributed through the United States mail to his customers across the country.
