Intuitive Machines has been selected for NASA JPL’s FALCON-RADAR Earth science mission! Targeting launch no earlier than 2029 on our IM 300 spacecraft bus, the mission will use radar to peer inside Earth’s clouds to study precipitation and atmospheric dynamics.

Trinity brings the heat! 🔥🌕
2,500°F. 900 pounds of thrust.

Intuitive Machines' Trinity lunar lander lit up the night during its latest hot fire test, successfully completing engine ignition, main-stage operation, and multiple throttle sequences as we prepare for our third lunar mission, IM-3, targeted for Q1 2027.

Lessons from our first two lunar missions are shaping a more advanced Nova-C lunar lander, with expanded sensing capabilities, precision landing technology, and enhanced navigation systems. From successful NavPod testing this past summer to ongoing payload testing and now Trinity's latest hot fire, our teams are knocking down milestones across the mission. During the hot fire test, our team tested the engine's full throttle range, demonstrating the vehicle's readiness for the lunar landing burn.

IM-3 will deliver 13 payloads to the Moon's Reiner Gamma region, advancing the lunar transportation capabilities and infrastructure needed to support NASA's Moon Base.

We're excited to support NASA's next era of nuclear-powered space exploration as an industry partner with our Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) for the SR-1 Freedom mission.

Built on the IM-1300 platform, our PPE is being repurposed to serve as the nuclear electric propulsion element for NASA's planned 2028 mission to Mars, supporting the first demonstration of nuclear electric propulsion in interplanetary space.

Together, we're advancing the technologies and building the space infrastructure needed to explore farther, operate longer, and enable sustained operations in space.

We’re getting America underway on nuclear power in space and ushering in the era of a Nuclear NASA.

With the signing of an MOU with @ENERGY, we’re taking the next giant leap toward exploring the outer solar system and sending American astronauts to Mars. Fission power will help us travel farther, operate longer, and power more capable scientific instruments.
