Agree agree agree. @ZachKuba
NCAA we need to adjust this summer schedule. I don’t necessarily have the answer, but I think it would make way more sense to keep AAU season condensed then follow it up with Scholastic.View quoted post on X
Suggested new schedule (based on 2026 calendar):
- Keep the big late April, early May AAU non-live events that D2s/D3s can recruit and media can write about (ie: Pitt Jam Fest)
May 15-17 AAU Live
June 5-7 AAU Live
June 12-14 AAU Live
June 26-28 Scholastic Live
July 10-12 Scholastic Live
July 13- Sep 7 Leave everyone alone, work on your game, body, and spend time with your family.
I love the July AAU tournaments and felt so grateful to reunite with our guys. But almost 2 months in between tournaments makes no sense.
I also coached my school team during June scholastic which was awesome. But I would’ve rather had them after AAU.
For the kids and the programs it would make more sense to condense AAU then follow it with scholastic. Also makes more sense to finish summer with school team.
