Is Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse a "true" Castlevania? 🦇

For my debut Substack article, I review Evil Empire’s stylised blend of gothic lineage and modern movement, think Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown meets Dead Cells… & Castlevania ofc 😅

Silksong’s courier quests are no joke, who else has done this run?

Took several attempts, and a guide, and I still barely made it, glad this is done and now my needle is upgraded 😮‍💨

Big shoutout to @elbethium for the guide, sharing this route and tips, thank goodness it left room for error! 👊🏽🔥

It’s time to ask the question:

Which is harder Phantom Blade Zero or Black Myth: Wukong?

I haven’t beat PBZ yet and BMW was pretty brutal at times, especially the final boss, but I’m leaning PBZ rn. It at least seems to a have steeper learning curve in the early game.

Why am getting arrested in Silksong? Still got a few weeks left for GTA…

The Ashen OZ is yet another upcoming Metroidvania that shout be on your radar! Are you sold?

I know I am! This twisted take on The Wizard of Oz looks a blend of Hollow Knight and Alice: Madness Returns.

Toting a brilliant art style blending fairy tale whimsy and grim horror with distinctive hatching and fine-line sketch techniques, I love the look!
