Note to Dem Senators being jammed to support this flawed bill: many of the worst parts of BAAJA are there because of ONE PERSON. It's not Trump, or Steven Miller. It's Mike Lee who temporarily wields tremendous power. Voters just took his power away. Don't give it back to him. Let our coming Dem Majority finish the job here. We'll get a much less toxic deal - and maybe even a very good deal.

The people have spoken! Tuesday was not just a blue wave, but a blue tsunami that hit everywhere across the country. Democrats flipped seats and states that have been reliably red for decades.

As Democrats, we thank the American people for their trust, and now is the time to get to work on their behalf. This new mandate is a repudiation of Donald Trump's ineffective, harmful, and just plain stupid policies.

In this new Congress, we will be laser-focused on lowering costs, bettering the quality of life for all Americans, and being a major check on this administration, bringing accountability back to DC.

Not huge - utterly predictable and choreographed - and there will probably be another tranche of this before Monday's Senate vote. As I warned two weeks ago, this is window dressing. It changes nothing.
