Strong communities start with strong infrastructure. It was great to join local leaders in Mountainburg to break ground on a new water transmission line that will nearly double water capacity from Lake Fort Smith to the River Valley.

I’m pleased to have helped secure $12 million in federal funding for this project, which will strengthen our water infrastructure and support the region’s continued growth for generations to come.

Last week, I traveled across The Natural State visiting with farmers and ranchers about the consequences for them and our rural communities when costs don’t pencil out year after year.

Those conversations reinforced the importance of getting Farm Bill 2.0 across the finish line. I remain committed to advancing these updated ag policies so farm country gets the certainty and support it desperately needs.

It was great to join @UArkansas’s Fryar Price Risk Management Center of Excellence to discuss the challenges facing farm country and work ahead. Not only is agriculture our state’s largest industry – it’s a way of life. The voices of our farmers, ranchers and producers are critical as we work to strengthen the farm safety net and pass Farm Bill 2.0 to give Arkansas producers the certainty and support they deserve.

The @UArkansas is helping turn Arkansas’s supply chain expertise and research capabilities into solutions for the Army’s contested logistics challenges. I appreciated joining @Rep_SteveWomack and Acting @SecArmy Telle to learn more about this work and see firsthand how university researchers are developing innovative technologies with important applications for our national defense.

Touring Walmart’s Global Security Operations Center with @Rep_SteveWomack and Acting @SecArmy Telle offered a firsthand look at how technology, real-time data and coordination help anticipate disruptions and keep supply chains moving. These capabilities offer valuable lessons for strengthening our military’s logistics and readiness.
