Danny Greene was a mob leader in Cleveland during the 70s. He saw himself as a reincarnated Celtic warrior. Gave talks on Cú Chulainn and Celtic Paganism from his Celtic Club hangout and sought to achieve immortality through a heroic death by waging a one man war against the Mafia that almost destroyed them in Cleveland.

Brendan Hughes speaking on the 20th anniversary of the hunger strikes on 25/01/01 in ATGWU Hall, Dublin about how Sinn Féin evicted an old Republican from his home because the British government were offering a £50k grant to turn it into a drop-in centre for prisoners.

West Belfast.

Sinn Fein have allegedly destroyed a mural of Brendan Hughes. They claim (with no hint of irony) that Hughes was a “tout” because of the Boston Tapes.

I’m hardly a big fan of Saoradh, but they’ve really nailed it regarding Shame Fein here. Every Nationalist in the North regards The Dark as a fantastic, dedicated Volunteer. He cared intensively about his own people, and put himself on the line constantly.

Brendan also had a lot of interesting things to say about Sinn Fein, who painted him as a dissident even though he held to the GFA, simply because he seen it as a betrayal.

To call Gerry Adams a collaborator is probably being kind, but you’d never see Brendan hiding behind a child like thats the infamous final image.
