I’ve noticed a pattern on Gaming X that might indicate one of the largest problems in the industry:
-Gamers want to pay as little as possible for as much as possible
-Rather than paying a higher price for what they really want
Did everyone forget: “You get what you pay for”?
I mean HECK if you’d bought physical media in the first place, they wouldn’t be taking it away…
And now people think they’ll get what they want by jailbreaking, stealing, and boycotting buying games? You just remove your demand from those who supply.

You want better? You have to be willing to buy it.

Some choice tidbits from #PlayStation’s Q2 FY2026 (July–September) results webcast:
“Operating income increased 83% to 220.1 billion yen, a record high for the second quarter.”
This means Q2 was more profitable than any previous second quarter in PlayStation’s history, generating approximately $1.54 billion in just three months.
They have also raised their full-year forecasts for PlayStation revenue and operating income by 6%.
Monthly active users (MAU) rose 7% year-on-year to 127 million accounts, a record high for September.
Hours played and MAU both increased notably year-on-year vs the prior quarter, indicating steady engagement growth.
“Cumulative sales of Marvel’s Wolverine, released in September, exceeded 2.4 million units, contributing to the improved results of the entire segment for the quarter.”
