Because that's what the data says.

Younger voters in specific wanted to see much more.

To the extent immigration enforcement hurt the midterms it's because there was not enough of it.

@Jim_Jordan being minority leader means what he weakly says will be the default right wing position. He left us behind before.

@SteveScalise can rebuild and we can work with him at least having a seat at the negotiating table.

He promised a weaponization committee, $20 MILLION, same funding as Jan 6. He spent virtually NOTHING, all while Bannon was in prison.

He could’ve done something about it.

HE DID NOTHING.

A lot of my friends were hurt. I haven’t forgotten about it.

They've already discredited so much. We've been collecting it all.

Will be quite a stretch for them to argue legislative purpose in a lot of this.

Incoming House Oversight Committee Chair, Robert Garcia, has been issuing statements telling Trump allies and staff, including incoming Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, to "lawyer up." He'd do well to tone down the rhetoric, manage expectations, develop a detailed plan, and have his Committee "lawyer up" with experienced, pragmatic investigators.

Immigration cost Texas, for sure. But that's because it has allowed too much for too long.

Immigration enforcement is how you get it back.

Just, no.

The ICE raids caused massive vote loss from 2024 to 2026.

In Texas alone we went from +13 to -10 in just two years at the top of the statewide ballot.

This vote loss was especially true in South Texas (where we went 0-4 in targeted congressionals), but also in major cities and regions across the country where there have been high profile ICE incidents.

No reasonable person supports allowing illegal alienates who are criminals to stay here. Had the admin focused entirely on criminal aliens, that would have been solid ground.

President Trump was elected to shut down the border, rebuild the economy, and fix Biden’s mess.

He’s largely done those things, but he’s gone way too far on tariffs and ICE, and this election result was the undeniable evidence of that political backlash.

The 2026 electoral outcome could not have been worse. Happy talk won’t change that.
