After 7 incredible years, the time has come for us to say goodbye.

MakersPlace was born in 2018 with a bold idea: empower digital artists and help them thrive in a new, decentralized world.

It’s been a wild, beautiful ride. 🧵

A sad day for the space, but on behalf of the Delbo family, thank you to the @MakersPlace team and all the collectors on MakersPlace for helping Jose’s legacy grow and live on in this space!

What an incredible journey it was!

MakersPlace would not have been the same without @aishacarmen555.

A true OG. A legend of the space and one of the kindness and most passionate champion of the arts (and an artist herself).

Thank you Aisha, for everything. 🔳🤍🖤

You’re NFTs aren’t lost! Please go to our website and check the FAQ at the bottom of the page. There are instructions on how to retrieve them (starting in August) via @metakeep 👍

This is not going to happen. More news to come soon, but we are working with multiple parties to not only ensure that our metadata is hosted after we close, but NFTs in MP custodial storage will still be retrievable after our site goes dark.

Stay tuned for more news on this.

how many NFTs are about to never be recoverable because of the @MakersPlace closure?

I see dozens of editions of @silviovieiraart on there still for example
