A book discussion last night at the home of one of our great National War College professors where we discussed national security (& my book) with multiple generations of incredibly smart people. Thanks @JBreslinSmith for hosting!

I've always had a "bucket list" desire to eventually write a children's book, and my editor @Ballast_Books suggested I should take the lessons on leadership, character and values that appear in my book "If I Don't Return: A Father's Wartime Journal" and put it in a book that parents can discuss with their young children.

The result is "A Walk Through The Zoo," the story of three friends, their dog, and their imaginary Alligator, Adam, learning lessons from various zoo animals. It's available now on @amazon or @BNBuzz, and like my other book, 50% of the proceeds will go to @discovernac.

And "If I Don't Return makes a great Veterans Day Gift!

This sums it up. Couldn’t have said it better.

I'm honored to represent veterans from all services as the guest speaker at the @WinterParkFla Veterans Day Event. Please join us in honoring our veterans on Friday, 6 November!

The complexities of the various fights in the Middle East. Nothing is simple in the region. My latest in @BulwarkOnline
