When I signed Massachusetts’ new reproductive health care law in August, I heard from families who faced devastating complications in deeply wanted pregnancies — and were forced to travel out of state to get the care they needed.

Every day of delay risks putting another family through that same heartbreak.

That’s why I’m filing an emergency declaration to ensure this law goes into effect as the Legislature intended.

The holidays should be a time of joy, warmth, and togetherness. But for too many families, putting food on the table is a daily worry — and no one should have to face that.

I was proud to join @Gr8BosFoodBank and @shaws alongside First Lady @JLydgate this morning for this year’s Chain of Giving.

@MassLtGov and I are committed to making sure every family has access to the food they need — through free breakfast and lunch for every public school student, record investments in food assistance, and stronger support for families with SNAP.

Because everyone deserves a full table and a little more peace of mind this holiday season — and every season.

Four years ago, @MassLtGov and I made history as the first all-women executive team in the country. One of our first stops was Girls Inc.

We know how powerful it is for girls to see women leading and know they can do it, too.

So great to be back this afternoon, seeing @GirlsIncLynn help the next generation build confidence, find mentors and dream big.
