Minds in Motion filled MIT’s Samberg Conference Center on November 7th.
Mark Papermaster, AMD CTO, opened the event and shared AMD’s approach to physical AI.
AMD provided three hands-on workshops where participants built and deployed a Vision-Language-Action pipeline using ROS 2 and multimodal models to control a robot arm. The AMD University team also ran a live demo.
Thanks to the AMD team for bringing the hardware, the curriculum and their engineers to Cambridge, and to John Werner, Imagination in Action, MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL), MIT Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS), and Massachusetts AI Coalition for co-hosting the summit with us as part of The Engine Tough Tech Week.
