Today, MFC embassies & Consultative Network members gathered to discuss Hungary’s evolving media landscape following this year’s elections, alongside a fact-finding press freedom mission co-led by @MediaFreedomEU & the Safety of Journalists Platform.

Yesterday, @finlandinuk co-hosted a side event with the MFC on the importance of public media. The panel featured speakers from the BBC and YLE, the public broadcasters from the UK and Finland, as well as @PublicMediaPMA from the Consultative Network.

On the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, the MFC call for journalists and media workers to be protected so they can fulfil their essential roles.
