Chris this is horseshit. This has nothing to do with Charlie Kirk. It has to do with the TPUSA today. I didn't mention Kirk, Have not spoke ill of him since he was murdered, and I think 14 months later, it's perfectly legitimate to criticize TPUSA and the extended MAGA industrial complex -- which you are a part of and occasional apologist for --for the utter and complete ruin of the GOP and the failure to execute on the things TPUSA & Co. promised. You guys have repelled more young people and voters then you have attracted. You discredited ideas I care about dearly. And you have claimed to be doing it in the name of a more "serious" understanding of politics and power. Nixonmaxxing my ass.

I am sorry if people sincerely took this as an insult to Kirk or mockery of his heinous murder. But they are mistaken. I am not sorry for calling out the bullshit opportunism and bad faith of people projecting false motives on me in order to have a comfortable talking point to distract from their abject political and ideological failures on display this week.

Just because the American people disapproved of lawlessness at the border does not mean that they are anti-immigrant, and the nativism from senior White House officials — including Vice President Vance — is appalling and, apparently, politically damaging to the GOP. Exit polls from the midterm election show that 61 percent of voters think immigrants to the U.S. today do more to help the country than to hurt the country, and 58 percent think the Trump administration's actions on immigration enforcement have gone too far.

President Biden's lawless southern border was a huge problem and a massive failure. President Trump brought order to the southern border, which is a major accomplishment of his administration. But he hurt the GOP with his deportation policy and, I suspect, with his administration's general posture towards immigrants.
