@NFPA has accepted an offer to sell its longtime headquarters at Batterymarch Park in Quincy, MA, with the transaction expected to close by the end of 2026.

NFPA has operated as a remote organization since the COVID-19 pandemic. As our workplace has evolved, so have our physical space requirements. While this marks a new chapter for NFPA, our connection to Massachusetts and, most importantly, our commitment to our global safety mission remains unchanged.

For 130 years, NFPA has worked with others to help make the world safer from fire, electrical, and related hazards. That work continues.

The @civildefencead received the 2025 NFPA Fire & Life Safety Ecosystem Global Influencer Award for its comprehensive and sustained commitment to safety innovation, risk reduction, and capacity building across the United Arab Emirates.

Donald R. Cook received the 2025 Richard G. Biermann award in recognition of his involvement in NEC development, technical committees, and inspector training for more than 30 years, and his long-standing service on the NFPA Board of Directors.

Marcelo Hirschler, Ph.D., an NFPA Life Member and long-time contributor to the standards development process, was honored with the 2025 NFPA Standards Medal,
the highest honor awarded by the NFPA Standards Council.

Amy Acton, CEO of the @phoenixsociety for Burn Survivors, was awarded the 2025 James M. Shannon Advocacy Medal in honor of her career-long dedication to and passionate advocacy for the burn survivor community.
