Exciting news from NREF-supported research: Jonathon J. Parker, MD PhD (@Dr_JP_Parker) and researches at @MayoClinic have identified measurable brain responses within minutes of deep brain stimulation in patients with drug-resistant epilepsy.

Dr. Parker received the 2023-24 NREF & Academy of Neurological Surgeons Young Clinician Investigator Award for his project titled “Short Fiber Stimulation to Suppress Epileptiform Activity in Human Neocortical Epilepsy.”
