Nasscom convened the 4th edition of the DPDP Act Readiness Workshop series in Bengaluru, bringing together 350+ stakeholders from IT/ITeS, BFSI, insurance, start-ups, legal and advisory services, and state governments. The workshop was held in collaboration with @GoI_MeitY.

Shri S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY, joined an interactive Q&A with Shri Ashish Aggarwal, VP and Head of Policy, @nasscom. He reiterated that no extension is envisaged for the 13 May 2027 compliance deadline.

Speaking about Significant Data Fiduciaries (SDFs), he said post notification they will be given adequate time to comply and that such notification will not be on-off activity. He also stated that an AI legal framework will be built through deep stakeholder engagement.
