I have a sneaky feeling my guys are more motivated than ever and gonna raise their game even more next summer…
Facts 👇🏼
You don't make the baseball team in the SPRING.View quoted post on X
You make it RIGHT NOW.
NOVEMBER. DECEMBER. JANUARY. FEBRUARY.
When it's cold outside.
When nobody's watching.
When there's no lineup card, no scoreboard, no crowd, and no recognition.
Somebody is getting STRONGER.
Somebody is getting FASTER.
Somebody is fixing that swing.
Somebody is learning to COMMAND the baseball.
And somebody is doing absolutely NOTHING, assuming they'll have the same starting spot they had last year.
Here's the reality...
LAST YEAR'S PERFORMANCE DOESN'T GUARANTEE THIS YEAR'S OPPORTUNITY.
The player who was behind you in June might be ahead of you in March.
Four months is a LONG TIME for a hungry ballplayer to close the gap.
Don't wait until tryouts to prove you deserve to play.
MAKE THE TEAM BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS. ⚾️
